Wisdom Keepers Aging

Each article is a seed — learn, feel, respond and let these words move something inside you.
The teachings of our Elders are rich and sacred, there is much we can learn from them, and their wisdom must be carried on. Through the spiritual teachings of our Elders we can connect with the spirits of nature, the elements, the mountains, rivers, oceans. We can learn to connect with one's self and nature.
Elders of the World
Living Future.
Ancient Voices,
The teachings of our Elders must not be forgotten. In a Modern Age, society has become increasingly disconnected from themselves and each other. In an ever busy time, people have become fixated on technology and efficiency.
With that, we have begun to lose track of ancient stories and practices. The hunt for survival in the modern age has created a huge lack of connection. Connection with ourselves and nature. Teachings that have been passed down through generations, knowledge of plants, spirit and tradition are at risk of being lost.
In a Modern Age
Communities in connection with spirit often give gratitude and thanks to the things around them. This is something that many spiritual communities do because of the belief that putting good intention into something brings out the good in you. The practice of prayer and gratitude is so important to our communities. When gathering for a celebratory meal, Native Americans will fix a plate of food to honor their ancestors and spirits. They pray to the plate and set it outside or place it in the fire as an offering to their ancestors. Giving thanks to the spirits of the land and in return receiving protection and good grace.
These practices are something that may be foreign to a modern, western society. People don’t often put prayer or meaningful intention into their food before eating unless they belong to a religion. But, this is something that is so important. The energy that we put into something means a lot, there is meaning and results through the intention that we place into things.
The connection with gratitude and intention is so important to the elders of our tribes, when they cut down a tree for a house, they pray to the tobacco to give thanks. With Arts and crafts, special inks and plant dyes have protection qualities, everything is made with a meaningful intention put into them.

Through Song and Prayer
Wisdom Keepers Aging
The Elders of our tribes want to share and teach their ways before their knowledge becomes lost. Their message to us is to be aware of the connection and mindfulness you put into something. We can learn this through traditions that have been passed down for generations, through ceremonies, plant medicines, and traditional arts & customs. Communication with nature and yourself is the most important thing you can do in this life and the Elders of our tribes urge us to share this with one another.
Their Message
At Bero Netebo, we amplify this message actively through our vision. Help us safeguard and teach these traditions for future generations to come.
